Timber Frame Extension in the Midlothian Area

This two story timber frame extension was carried out in Midlothian in conjunction with James Taylor Partnership, Chartered Architects.  As you can see from the photographs, the Siberian Larch exterior has given this property a unique and contemporary look.  The property now benefits from two extra family areas.  The upper level boasts a large balcony with spectacular views to the Pentland Hills.  We also carried out internal alterations, including a new central heating system.

Roof Development in the Morningside Area

This attic conversion in the Morningside area involved the development of a flat roof area to create extra roof space.  The new roof space was then converted into a large family room, two bedrooms, an office and a spacious family bathroom.   The new stairway was built over the existing stairway, thus limiting the amount of lost space.  This project also involved the installation of a new central heating system, velux windows and roof copulas.

Attic Conversion in the Corstorphine Area

This attic conversion in the Corstorphine area created an en-suite master bedroom.  The existing galley kitchen was moved to the rear of the property to make way for the solid oak stairway.  This created an open plan entrance hall, complemented by a hardwood floor, giving this house a real wow factor.  This project also included the installation of velux roof lights and dormer windows front and back.  The bay style dormer windows ensures the new addition is in-keeping with the existing house.
